2020 What a F*%§ING Year!
So,
What a year, huh?!
As we are heading into a second lockdown here in Germany, I just wanted to share some thoughts, last projects and what might be coming up.
First and foremost, all of my family and loved ones got really lucky so far, as none have had a COVID case yet, touch wood. That being said, I heard of family and friends of friends who tested positive, and of two cases where someone died. It is a weird feeling talking to friends and hearing how the pandemic has or hasn’t affected their lives.
My girlfriend and I are very lucky, as we both can work from home, and in our day to day lives not much has changed. Except that cats can be quite annoying and distracting when you are trying to concentrate on work.
Sadly, for the most part of the year, acting jobs kinda dried up after I shot the last Commercial in February.
After a lot of searching, I finally found it Online and can now share it. It’s a TVC for Quipp. A Game App. I will post it below.
So, after an uneventful summer with some castings and a couple of short-lists, but no bookings, October got really frigging busy for castings. I must have done 11-15 castings in October alone. Nothing came of it though.
BUT, November also brought loads of castings, and lo and behold I could snag four jobs. Which I shot in November and the beginning of Dezember. One is already Online, an Online Highlight for KUKA, a robotics company. It was very interesting, as it was the first time for me wearing a fat suit.
I linked that one below as well.
Other projects waiting for release are, a Mercedes Online Highlight, a Rock Antenne TVC and a Produkt Film for Bosch Power Tools (I think next year in March, as far as I know).
Right now, the last push at work for the end of the year is rearing its ugly head. Gonna be some very busy days till Christmas, but we will manage, as we always do!
For next year, hopeful me arranged to be back in the UK to redo my Masterclass in Screen Acting at the Actor’s Studio at Pinewood in March. As you might remember, it got cut short this year, when the pandemic hit for the first time. I hope the situation will have cooled down enough so that I’ll be able to head over to London to get this thing done! Fingers crossed!
For now, it’s hunker down and wait for all of this to blow over.
Remember, it’s always darkest before the dawn, but the light will shine again in the morning!
Keep healthy and safe,
Felix
